PRR 5836, EP-22, 1959 |
Description: |
Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Louisville, Kentucky, on 2 May 1959. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5836 and #5891. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5836 was built in February of 1951, while #5891 was built in April of 1950. Looks to me like the Fireman's waiting for the signal from the Conductor to highball it out of The Derby City. ("PrrFan18n") |
