| EB through Afton Canyon. SP 8694 was wrecked as the lead unit in a fatal head-on collision in Bertram, California on Nov 10 2007, less than a month after this photo was taken. The unit was officially numbered UP 2780 "on paper" at the time, but was still physically wearing her old number, SP 8694. Reports say the unit will likely be scrapped, but scrapping has not been confirmed as of June 2008. |
