A train of empty ethanol tank cars, BNSF X-WATABE7-26, snakes through the crossover as it moves from Track 2 to Track 1 at Fullerton Junction. Symboled as an empty unit grain train (because ethanol is a grain product), this train – pulled by a set of three Dash 9-44CWs – 5188, 4341 and 4080 – is heading from Watson, in the Port of Los Angeles, to Aberdeen, South Dakota. The San Bernardino Sub on which this train is traveling heads east to, eventually, Chicago, and the track on the left, Metrolink’s Orange Sub, is the old Santa Fe "Surf Line," which heads to San Diego.
