| Built by Baldwin in September of 1923 as illinois Central #2013. After serving for 15 years, the IC shops rebuilt and renumbered it to IC #1278 in January of 1938. Later in December of 1951 it was again renumbered to IC #1517. After nearly 33 years of service, the loco was sold for scrap in February of 1956 Rebuild specs - 63.5" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 308,500 lb and tractive effort of 70,837 lb. can't find info No photographer was listed for the photo. |
