Here is the third of three original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Engine House in Trenton, New Jersey, c. 1954. Shown here (R to L) are engines #1120 and three more locomotives whose road numbers are not recorded. #1120 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917, streamlined in 1940, and retired in December of 1954 after 37 years of faithful service. Partially visible at the left are the Trenton Coaling Tipple and the Engine House. |
