LN 4-8-2 #483 - Louisville & Nashville
Interesting photo with the tender wearing the new number $483 while the headlight still has the original #421. Built by Baldwin in October of 1930, the renumbering took place in 1953. The date was given as 6/9/1950 which might be incorrect or the renumbering took place in 1950 or it wore both numbers. Specs - serial #61552, class L-1, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 337,730 lb, tractive effort of 53,883 lb.The loco was scrapped sometime in the 1950's as the L&N dieselized.
