USA 8651/USAX 8651 at the National Railroad Museum, in Ashwaubenon, WI, on 25 Aug. '19. Built for the Army by Alco in 1945, it served in Iran during WWII. It was sent to Ft. At some point it was acquired by the MILW, who used it to train Army Reserve transportation personnel at Milwaukee, WI. The National Railroad Museum acquired USA 8651 from the MILW ca. Feb. 1977. While the National Railroad Museum’s mailing address is Green Bay, it is actually located in Ashwaubenon. |
