| Some trains steam in the rain, others get wet. Seriously, this day a storm tracked farther north than thought, dousing the Twin Cities in a cold drizzle. Here 261 is returning from her afternoon run to Howard Lake, MN. on the new BNSF alignment in Long Lake due to the Highway 12 reroute. She is in reverse, but isn't that smoke plume gloriously white? The entire consist, including the BNSF GP60 on the hind end, is visible in this shot. I had only seconds to get this shot before closing up the camera to prevent droplets getting on the lense whilst standing under the Brown Road overpass. |
