Union Pacific Railroad E9 951 on the south leads to Union Station in Chicago, Illinois on October 17, 1966, Kodfchrome by Chuck Zeiler. This power would normally be on the Milwaukee Road ( north ) side of Union Station. Perhaps there was track problems on the Milwaukee on this date. Number 951 went to the UP Heritage Fleet, but when pictured here it still had two prime movers as EMD intended. It has since been fitted with a single 16-645E, making it ( effectively ) a GP38-2. |
