Coal Power. A photo similar to this one was published in the September 1981 issue of "The Keystone," page 7. Photo Caption: "This amazing photograph was taken by Charles B. Chaney from the inspection car at the rear of the train pulled by K-5 No. 5699. Another section of the Inspection Trip is about to pull up and pass Chaney's train. This section was hauled by two K-4s locomotives, with No. 3768 in the lead." #3768 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during June of 1920 and retired in October of 1953 after 33 years of faithful service. |
