CN 9473
A CN local hauls 11 boxcars westward over Hwy. 441 (a.k.a. Tri-County Expressway) via the former FRVR bridge as it crosses the border from Kimberly into Appleton, WI on 29 Sep. '17. There was no bridge here until the expressway was constructed in the early '90s, completed Sep. '93. The tan building at left is Prolamina (formerly Coating Excellence International (cei)), 3621 E. Newberry St., Appleton, a rail customer. Train was heading back to the former C&NW yard at Appleton, WI after servicing Kimberly and Combined Locks. The vandalism was inflicted since the last time I photographed a train crossing it on 26 Mar. '14. I'm surprised at how long it stood unmarred.
