One of the prime reasons a lot of fans went to Canada was the chance to shoot Alco design units in all kinds of service, something that had largely vanished in the US. CN and CP both had sizeable fleets of SD 40s as well. Two of them are eastbound with 75 cars at the Dorval Via station. This pair of widecabs is what was then a Canada only design, but would later be embraced industry wide. |
