A full moon shines over Mineola looking east from the station platform on the east side of the Mineola Blvd overpass. At center, the white building is Nassau tower, which controls the junction with the Oyster Bay Branch, a set of crossovers west of the station, and all the associated signals. It also conrols the plant at Locust, where the double track goes to single at the end of the branch. The eastbound home signal is set at stop, but it wont stay that way long, as the evening rush is underway. |
