SOO 719
This one has definitely seen better days...it seems to have been sacrificed to keep the Dakota Southern Railway in operation...but it too has gone bust.

Ted Blank General From what I can tell, the RR went bust and has been closed and abandoned. 6/17/2006 6:18:06 PM
Brian H General I saw a recent picture with progress made to engine 512. Maybe the railway hasn't gone bust, but I'm not from around there so I wouldn't know. 7/14/2006 10:51:46 PM
Joe Magruder General DSRC is still around and has just reopened the main line for grain hauling. I worked for DSRC part-time last year and early this year. I may eventually return to DSRC again if the grain business goes full time. 12/10/2007 11:41:13 AM
Joe Magruder General 512 has been repainted and after some work, of which I had a small part, has been started for the first time in 8 years. It will soon join SD9E 4427 in hauling grain. SOO 719 was purchased for its Alco trucks which are going to be installed on C420 213. It came to DSRC without a main generator and will be scrapped after the trucks are used. 12/10/2007 11:58:21 AM
