Mikado steam locomotive 141R 1332 of the French National Railways (SNCF) sits awaiting a restoration. Built in the USA & Canada immediately after WWII to address the critical locomotive shortage and damage to the French locomotive building infrastructure, the 141R series proved to be very successful and were in regular service until 1975. This specific locomotive was bult in Canada and is oil-fired. |
