CP306
The only reason I posted this shot is because of the color of the trees. Everyone around here knows how odd the weather has been this spring, with temperatures in the 70's back in March and such. I'm just struck by the red colors of the budding maples along with the light-greens of the young leaves of the aspens and similar species. Have I been missing something in my 45 years, or is this display of color unusual for this time of year? Anyway, that's the Q004 led by CSX engine #7859 shot from Rt. 31 looking across the New York State Thruway.

Jack M. Jakeman General I think it is taking a bit longer for the trees to leaf out due to the weather this year. 4/29/2012 8:40:37 AM
TERRENCE ROBLE General This would make a good picture for a puzzle. 5/26/2012 1:08:58 AM
Alan Fricker General I think some of it is that we are concentrating so much on the trains that we don't stop to check out the surroundings they run in. 5/27/2012 12:13:46 PM
