Tower E-14 Today  Contributor's Pick!
Once upon a time, a wooden tower once stood here designated E-14 which monitored the crossing of the Milwaukee Road and the Minneapolis & St. Louis. Today the tower and the Louie are gone, and the Milwaukee rails now belong to two railroads: Canadian Pacific (east of here) and Twin Cities & Western (west of here), though a sign still remains proclaiming "Tower E-14" to one and all. Anyone know what "Begin B.R.T." stands for? There's a sign that says "End B.R.T." down near the site of Bass Lake Yard, so I'm curious.
