TJ Gaspers	General	A 'Shunt' has to do with signals- both grade crossing and train control signals (though because this line is totally dark, I assume it has to do with Snelling Ave's grade crossing flashers). Its basically a place where a wire connects or 'shunts' the rails together to break up the line into individual electric segments. I see them all the time running down the main line. If you look close, you can see the wire bonded to the web of the rail adjacent to the sign...	9/14/2012 4:12:16 PM

Station Sign "Roseville"
This piece of ex-Northern Pacific track links the Minnesota Commercial's former Minnesota Transfer mainline with the ex-NP Skally Line fragment that runs from White Bear Lake to Hugo. This station sign can be found two blocks east of the County C/Snelling intersection. Anyone know what the "Shunt" sign is for?
