When first built, this line stretched through rural countryoide. Now look at what surrounds it: county roads, office buildings, you name it, it's suburbia. Nevertheless, this portion of Milwaukee Road predecessor Minnesota Central (not the same as the one which built from Red Wing to Mankato two decades after this MC) which later became the Milwaukee Road I & M division still sees trains thanks to being operated by Progressive Rail.
