| A FV&LS (or FOXY) train crosses the junction with the former C&NW right-of-way, now the Mountain-Bay State Trail, as it heads southeast via former CN, historically SOO, rails at Shawano, WI, on 31 Jan. '25. The red brick interlocking tower that guarded the junction stood to the right, south of SOO tracks and east of C&NW tracks, until it was torn down circa 1995. I thought the tower stood by the clump of trees to the left, but a review of others' photographs on rrpicturearchives.net as well as some old maps has proven that my recollection of the tower's location was erroneous. |
