Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9330, a GS-4M ("44-Tonner") switcher built by General Electric as a GS-4 in June of 1948, rated at 380 horsepower, later modified and reclassified as a GS-4M, and retired in February of 1965 after just 17 years of revenue service. Note the "MU" cable plugged-in at the right. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. |
