PRR 8590, AS-16M, c. 1962 Editors Pick!        
Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8590 and #8676. Both were built by the American Locomotive Company. #8590 is an AS-16M constructed in December of 1955 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. #8676 is an AS-18AM built in March of 1958 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
