| Eastbound KCS Shreveport, LA to Meridian, MS (NS run through) train M-SHNS-20 heads into the siding to tie down as the crew will not make it into Jackson within their Hours of Service. At this time, KCS trains are operating between Shreveport and Jackson with only one crew in a "Super Pool". A relief crew out of Jackson will retrieve this train in an hour or so. At Meridian, this trian will be handed off to the NS and will operate to Atlanta, GA as NS train No. 340. Here the train has KCS SD70ACe 4129, KCS ES44AC 4695, 137 cars, and KCS DPU SD70ACe 4116. At Meridian the rear DPU will be taken off and replaced with and ETD - NS 71190. |
