Rock Island 5756
Title:  Rock Island 5756
Description:  Rock Island Railroad 5756 at Blue Island, Illinois on an unknown day in July 1982, Fujichrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to the October 1971 edition of the ORER ( Official Railway Equipment Register ), the Rock Island had 50 cars in the 5750 - 5799 number series, AAR class R206, and ( Note 45 ) "equipped with fork lift truck pallets, platforms or skids, which will be considered as part of the car and are in assigned service." Further, Note 88 states, "Cars in series 5750 to 5799 have 'PS-20' travel cushion underframe, are insulated and equipped with DF-B load divider bulkheads and load side fillers, single 10 ft. plug type sliding door."
