Description:  The buildings and land of the Gateway Yard are, happily, owned by an individual who appears to have no interest in demolishing this landmark of Youngstown-area railroading. He is a good man, a good man indeed. I am standing on a rather large pile of old ballast, and that stupid drum infront of the train was infested with Hornets and even had a mouse living in it. Next time I go, I WILL be moving it, as it detracts terribly from the shot - nevermind the fact the sun isn't out :)

Description:  With the interchange with CSX complete, the OHPA returns to the Mahoning Valley's yard. The building on the left is the former P&LE Gatewmy Yard Car Shop, which, almost unbelieveably, is now being used as, well, a car shop! A private contracter has set up shop and has a dozen or so cars in/near the shop zuilding, so it lives on!

Description:  I can still remember when this thing was an all black former IC unit. The paint job is great, too bad it's blowing oil! Alo, I believe that this was the first unit to receive this particular style of lettering, and the 7585 is the only unit with a maroon headlight. The lettering style has:changed since this unit was done, and probably will again. I prefer the old style, but I'm not the boss.

Description:  To deliver the cars to the siding, Ohio Central must pull past the switch and reverse back down the winding siding to United Freezer and Storage Companys loading docks. At 11:20am on Wednesday January 6, 2016, OHCR #7573 (GP10) and OHCR #8713 (GP11) delivered five ARMN refrigerator cars down the siding. To the right is the "main."
