Title:	SATX Coal Train
Description:	Two days after Easter 1983, Southern Pacific SD45T-2 9353 was leading a quartet of Burlington Northern GE's - C30-7's 5133 and 5538, U30C 5307 and C30-7 5512 - north along the former Colorado & Southern at Des Moines, New Mexico. This was a 103-car SATX train on its way from San Antonio back to the Powder River Basin, and the shot was taken from U.S. Highway 87.

Description:	An SP westbound pulls the nearly 1% grade to Grass Lake at Penoyar. This siding was named for W. C. Penoyar who held title to several large timber tracts in the area, and who deeded the right-of-way to the California Northeastern Railroad, an SP subsidiary which actually built the section from Grass Lake to Klamath Falls in 1906-1909. SP 9358 was sold for scrap to Larry's Truck Electric, 7/03. Date of photo approximate.
