Title:  PRR 6513, GF-25A, 1966
Description:  12th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during March of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6513 and #5842. #6513 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #5842 is an EP-20 built in 1947 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. Their crews have received orders to proceed with their passenger train up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin, whereupon #6513 will uncouple and return to Altoona for yet another helper/pusher run up the Mountains. Visible on the right is a portion of one of the original PRR 12th Street Car Shop buildings.
