Description:  Of the 450 E8A's that were built by EMD, NYC #4085 is one of an estimated 58 that survive today. This loco had the historic honor of leading the final eastbound 20th Century Limited on December 1st, 1967 before the PennCentral merger. An unknown photographer captured these images of it while it sits now as a static display in the New York Central RR Museum in Elkhart, IN.

According to one online source, most railfans are unaware that there were at least 14 variations of the stripe within the ten year span when it was used. This is the full length wide side stripe with the name below the stripe on the side. An unkown photographer took this photo around June of 2006.
