Description:
This is one of the later 2-8-2 Mikados built by Alco-Schenectady in March of 1923 as Missouri Pacific #1470. It served for nearly 28 years before being scrapped ion 9/21/1954 at the North Little Rock, AR, yard. No date was give for the photo so an approxiamte one was used. Specs - coal burner never converted to oil, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 327,200 lb, tractive effort of 62,950 lb. C.C. Grayson photo
