B769
Title:  B769
Description:  With their work done here at Birds Eye, the crew is getting ready to head back to the small yard in Baldwinsville. This track used to go further north and into Oswego, but not anymore. You might notice in the background behind the train, that the road has been paved right over the tracks. In fact, the rail was never lifted, it's still there all the way to Oswego. You just have to look through the weeds and trees to find it. Also, at several crossings along the way, old cross-buck signals are still in place even though the road is paved over the tracks!

Description:  Barrelling southbound down the line towards Kellogg Rd. In the early 1980's the "TankTrain" used to travel on this trackage between the New York State fairgrounds and Oswego. I myself watched it pass by the fairgrounds, but I never saw it anywhere else on the line. If anyone out there has photos of it, please share! (For a photo of the TankTrain, check out contributor Chuck Edwards site with CR unit# 6081)

Description:  The B769 passes by the New York State fairgrounds this morning! Kind of surprising to see them on a Sunday. The consist was probably at the small yard in Baldwinsville before reaching this point on the way to DeWitt yard.

At Americold
Title:  At Americold
Description:  After checking the Belle Isle siding first thing this morning, I headed for home; but not before checking on the Baldwinsville local B769. I thought for sure that by this time (07:57) they would have been in Baldwinsville already, instead, they were spotting a CRYO-TRANS reefer at the Americold warehouse! In the background is the rest of the train under the New York State Thruway bridge.

Title:  Leaving Americold
Description:  At 07:57 CSX #6959 is leaving Americold after spotting a CRYO-TRANS reefer. After clearing the switch and normalizing it, they'll reverse back to a string of grain and cement hoppers that they left behind them on the south side of John Glenn Blvd. and head for Baldwinsville where they work at Budweiser. The bridge that the train is under in the background is the New York State Thruway.
