Album Info:Located at MP P70.5 on the MEC Mountain Division, Bartlett was ence the helper station at the base of the climb up to the 'Notch'. Built in 1875 by the Portland & Ogdensburg it is consideªed one of the most spectular sections of railroad in the East. /DL

Description:  No info with this old postcard scene except -1911 Helper over Crawford Notch-. I dont know if there was ever a ball signal at Bartlet or not but Im placing it at Bartlet for the moment. 1201 was one of 4 MEC X class locomotives from the B&M used as helpers on the Mountain. An Alco-S 2-6-6-2 built or aquired in November 1911 and scrapped 10/29. /DL
