HELP! There was no data other than a stamp with the name "Richard D. Patton" and "CIL 0-6-0 98" on the back. I could not find any listing for an 0-6-0 #98 but thanks to Eric Reinert (see comment below) steering me to renumbered loco #38. Much thanks to you Eric! Bingo! Built by Alco-Brooks in October of 1923, this loco served until being scrapped in 1947. Specs - serial #64889, classnB-9, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23x28" cylinders, engine weight of 191,000 lb, tractive effort of 44,200 lb. |
