Album Info:Lots of the usual CN action - but add a trip to Binghamton New York, and this month's collection takes on a whole new look. There's ALCO's and Norfolk Southern mainline freight in Owego, and a sparkling pair of E8s at the Medina Railway Museum west of Rochester.

Description:  The sun ducked behind the clouds just as Train 422 came into view here at Portage Road overpass…so, even though I wasn't very optimistic, I hopped in the car and headed straight for St. Catharines about 10 minutes away, hoping to have enough time to get ahead of the train and get a good shot in the sunshine before it reached St. Catharines station - and my hunch paid off in spades.

Description:  There used to be a Rocky (OHRY 1811 - ALCO RS18u) to go with Bullwinkle here, but I couldn't see this fine old locomotive on this trip to Owego. Also missing from the yard is CP 1850 - another RS18 that was, although derelict, serving a useful afterlife by supplying parts to Rocky.
