Description:  Oil Power. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Rutherford Heights, Pennsylvania, on 18 November 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2243, #2537, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #2243 is an EF-22 built by GM-EMD in May of 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2537 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in February of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. Note the presence of "Radio Equipped" labels and the corresponding lack of Train Phone antennae.

Description:  Oil Power. Here a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Dennison, Ohio, in December of 1967. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1457, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD as number "9670" in April of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and renumbered "1457" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Partially visible at the right is #2415, the AF-24A built by the American Locomotive Company in September of 1963 and rated at 2,400 horsepower.

Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4285 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #4285 was constructed as number "5885" in March of 1950 and renumbered "4285" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. In this context, they're rockin' 'n' rollin' with a 14-car passenger train.
