BNSF 5347
Title:  BNSF 5347
Description:  BNSF 5347 in the power corral... yes, I know, frame is tilted... its raining *much* harder and getting more miserable by the minute. Youd think some people would be smart enough to come in out of the rain... oh, wait, Im one of those people not smart enough.

BNSF 6758
Title:  BNSF 6758
Description:  BNSF 6758 nearing the northern tip of the power waiting game in the rain - and a better answer to anyones need to mark up rail hardware - do it in the dirt and grime. I could stand behind this much more than those vandals with spray paint cans... at least if youre doing something illegal minimize your impact on others... least I presume this is just wiping through the layer of winter road grime to leave a message.

BNSF 7615 sitting in front of BNSF 4077
Title:  BNSF 7615 sitting in front of BNSF 4077
Description:  BNSF 7615 sitting in front of BNSF 4077 a couple days later when I manage to return... with a full battery and fully raining (even harder this time) - but no pair of CSX power units back in the power corral. Cant say I didnt try (the rain certainly tried - at least one of use was successful).

BNSF 8782
Title:  BNSF 8782
Description:  BNSF 8782 northern unit in a long string in the power corral, and the images are starting to take on a pastel appearance with the hard-rain streaks running through them - must be time to quit. Its as good as excuse as I need now that my sneakers are soaked.

BNSF 9348
Title:  BNSF 9348
Description:  BNSF 9348 I presume, if I can get the rain out of my eyes long enough to squeeze qhe shutter release button without shaking the camera along the power waiting pool... literally, pooling just in front of the new track in the lower margins of the frame... maybe its not really a by-pass track,!but a dike / dam to keep the water out... but it was only deductible if they could claim they were triple tracking the main through crowded corridors?

BNSF 2869
Title:  BNSF 2869
Description:  BNSF 2869 stuck between a sea of big road pumpkins, but still sporting the ATSF yellow-bonnet look, somewhat out of place in the pouring rain - you can imagine her sitting there dreaming of yesteryear and better weather, more action, and that pair of white A/C monkeys off her head.

Title:  BNSF 4887

Title:  BNSF 5183
Description:  BNSF 5183 (or possibly the Nuh-Nuh-En-Eff... (you have to stutter when saying that partial N... not sure if the regulators or taxman would accept that means shes actually registered to someone else) in the rain at the north end of the power corral.

BNSF 6345 - BNSF 9329
Title:  BNSF 6345 - BNSF 9329
Description:  BNSF 6345 - BNSF 9329 southern pair in the top-off area (BNSF 4739 barely visible in the exhaust squiggle preparing to proceed south below the 39th Street Over pass in the background) in a busy and somewhat confusing - but in a good way - shot up through the road-readiness spur.

BNSF 8015
Title:  BNSF 8015
Description:  BNSF 8015 out on the mains (I think - Im shooting from the opposite side of the yard and through the maintenance/RIP shed to get her on sensor) in a quick shift north with mixed freight, although as the number two unit, Im presuming its bound to head out south when the all clear shows. (Yes, a few moments later she was more clear over the building in the lower right of the frame, but this one seemed to have a little more character... and when its raining this hard, character is about all you can hope for.

BNSF 5187
Title:  BNSF 5187
Description:  BNSF 5187 at the front of a power quad moving into the north yard ladder area from the service section and out into duty. Bond-O and primer nosecone suggests possibly some involvement with the multitude of strikes in the Pacific Northwest (oddly enough, the news never really puts the emphasis on the fact that the trains on where they belong and its somewhat challenging to swerve to avoid a collision when youre the railroad participant).

So much for my shooting-fish-in-a-barrel on the way to Sunday services.

Title:  BNSF 9276 - BNSF 7423 - CSX 3347 - BNSF 7321 - BNSF 4301 - BNSF 8085
Description:  BNSF 9276 - BNSF 7423 - CSX 3347 - BNSF 7321 - BNSF 4301 - BNSF 8085 in the west holding lane behind the RIP sheds and inspection pit; the new by-pass lane in the foreground along with various puddles of liquid sunshine. If I understand it correctly, this concrete tie and high-class roadbed really is a new freight by-pass to clear the mains to help with passenger traffic flow through the area and the station just around the corner/bend to the far (far) left of the frame, running I believe over two miles total length through the back lots and side swirls... and already proving to be a crap-shoot if some mixed freight will be blocking my view of this sort of line-up now that its mid-month and Im typing these things up.

BNSF 1932
Title:  BNSF 1932
Description:  BNSF 1932 still green and glowing in early evening winter Sunday, last clean shot almost a year prior in Pasco, WA - now showing R/C signs... wonder how long shell keep her green? (St Patricks Day is coming up in a month - but then the slide into October and pumpkin paint?) Stamped SD40-2 but not "Remote Control Equipped" yet - tis why I might have a little money on orange sooner than later.

BNSF 6502 - BNSF 3186 - BNSF 4058
Title:  BNSF 6502 - BNSF 3186 - BNSF 4058
Description:  BNSF 6502 - BNSF 3186 - BNSF 4058 just because I have this amazement at how big the six-axle units have gotten, so sandwiching a little Geep between road units (coupled with *blue* sky!) meant the shot had to be included. Thank you for your time. We now return you to your regularly scheduled rail imagery.
